Florida GC Project Management Exam: 10 Practice Questions with Answers

By LicenseAcademy Team · October 21, 2026 · 8 min read

Project Management is one of the three exams for a Florida General Contractor license. DBPR's candidate information booklet lists it at 60 scored questions in 4.5 hours, open-book, with 70% needed to pass.

What the exam covers

DBPR's content outline (January 2020) divides it into three areas. Each percentage may vary by up to three points either way.

AreaContentShare
EConstruction Methods, Materials, Tools, and Equipment63%
FSafety (including complying with OSHA standards)20%
GReading Plans and Specifications (including codes, standards and ADA requirements)17%

The books you may bring are on the 2026 and 2027 reference list. The questions below draw on three of them: OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926, the Florida Building Code – Building and the Florida Building Code – Accessibility.

About these questions

These come from the LicenseAcademy question bank. Each one was checked against the text of the section it cites: our source-grounded verifier derived the answer from that section and the quote it relied on was confirmed to appear word for word in the code or statute, and we reviewed each question and citation by hand before publishing. Questions that did not meet that bar were left out. Try each one with the book open, then use "Where to find it" to check how fast you got there — on an open-book exam, that is the skill being tested.
